Omeprazole and Domperidone Capsules come with the brand name “ALL NATURAL-D” and belong to a group of medicines called gastrointestinal agents used to treat heartburn, indigestion, epigastric pain, gastro-oesophageal reflux disease (GERD), peptic ulcers and Zollinger-Ellison syndrome. Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) occurs when stomach acid frequently flows back into the food pipe (oesophagus). Peptic ulcers are sores that develop on the inner lining of the intestine and stomach. Zollinger-Ellison syndrome is characterised by the formation of tumours in the upper part of the small intestine, which leads to excess acid production.

Omeprazole and Domperidone Capsules are a combination of two drugs, namely: Omeprazole (a proton pump inhibitor) and Domperidone (a dopamine antagonist). Omeprazole works by blocking the action of an enzyme called gastric proton pump, which is responsible for the production of acid Domperidone works by increasing the movements and contractions of stomach muscle. Together, these compositions help in treating acidity.

Directions For Use

Does it cause diarrhoea?

Diarrhoea might be a side-effect of this composition. Drink enough fluids and eat non-spicy food if you experience diarrhoea. Consult your doctor if you experience severe diarrhoea or if you find blood in your stools.

Can I lie down after having meals?

Avoid lying down immediately after meals to prevent acid reflux. Raise the head of the bed 10-20cm by putting a pillow so that the head and chest are above the waist. This helps in preventing acid reflux.

Does this capsule cause dry mouth?

A dry mouth could be a side-effect of it. Limiting caffeine intake, avoiding smoking and mouthwashes containing alcohol, drinking water regularly, and chewing sugar-free gum/candy might help in stimulating saliva and thereby prevents drying of the mouth.

Can I take this composition for nausea?

It contains domperidone which helps in treating nausea and vomiting. However, this medicine is used to treat acidity. Please consult your doctor, he/she may prescribe you an alternate medicine for treating nausea and vomiting.

Is it safe to take this capsule for longer durations?

Do not take it for longer durations unless prescribed by the doctor. Consult your doctor if your condition does not improve even after taking it for 14 days.
